MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Accounting students at Coastal Carolina University are offering the public free help in filing their taxes.
The students, working through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, are offering help to residents in the Myrtle Beach area beginning Monday and continuing through the end of March.
The students, working out of the university’s College of Business Administration, can assist people with e-filing and basic tax returns with income of less than $42,000.
They can also help file international student returns and multiple state tax returns. There will be no assistance the week of March 16.
