A fiberboard manufacturing facility in South Carolina is closing, taking about 100 jobs from the Holly Hill area.

Roseburg Forest Products announced on Friday that it is closing its plant that produces panels for furniture, cabinetry and decorative molding in December due to a decline in new home construction.

The company tells the Times and Democrat of Orangeburg that officials will re-evaluate the closure next year and decide whether to restart operations.

Roseburg was established in 1936. The company is based in Dillard, Ore.
