Congressman Brown honors North Myrtle Beach wildfire first responders

Congressman Henry Brown honored six first responders to the April wildfire in Barefoot rRsort that destroyed more than 75 homes.

Brown handed out certificates to North Myrtle Beach Public Safety employees Capt. Mike Davis, Lt. Todd Davis, Lt. Guy Johnson, Officer William Norton, Officer Bob Rogers, and Sgt. Joe Turner.

Congressman Brown also praised their efforts during the wildfire.

“We have so many unsung heroes that nobody really knows much about and has an opportunity to thank them and we just felt like this was such an important and significant thing that happened in this community that these guys should not go unnoticed,” Brown said.
