Three shot in Greenville home invasion

Greenville County Deputies were called to a home on New Dunham Bridge Road around 11:30 pm Tuesday night.

Deputies say a group broke in the back door of the house and started shooting at the people who were inside. A homeowner grabbed a gun and fired back. Investigators tell our sister station WSPA, three people were wounded. Two victims were sent to the hospital.

Officers were going through the house for clues early Wednesday morning while deputies tried to put their neighbors at ease.

Lt. Tim Ridgeway with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said, “There are no other injuries everybody’s fine. A couple of houses were hit with bullets”.

Investigators do not think this was a random crime. They have not made any arrests or named any suspects. Officers do not know the conditions of the victims, but one was shot in the chest.

Deputies say a dark colored Saturn sped away from the scene.
