Two Tennessee pilots are working to relieve overcrowding in their home state’s animal shelters.
Jon Wehrenberg and Debi Boies call their organization Pilots N Paws.
They fly animals that face euthanization at the shelters they’re in to rescue groups and shelters that have ample space.
Pilots volunteer their time, resources, and expertise at the Pilots N Paws website to help out.
“If you give a pilot a job to do, they’ll do it and if you give them an excuse to fly they’ll probably take you up on it,“ explained Boies.
