Internet search engine Google is developing a new product.
Tuesday night the California based tech firm announced it is working on developing its own operating system.
The program is designed for “netbooks” which are less powerful versions of laptop computers that appeal to people primarily looking to surf the internet.
The new program, which will run with Google’s new web browser “chrome” should be released in the second half of next year and is designed to compete with Microsoft’s windows operating system.
