2 Your Health:Lunchtime Lift
Mary Blau is 51 years young. She wasn’t looking to change her face just tighten and tone some areas that were distracting. She said the lines near her nose and mouth caused her to look as if she were scowling when she wasn’t. “I am a very happy person but my face always looked sad or angry.“ She sought the advice of Dr. Marcelo Hochman of the Facial Surgery Center at Saint Francis Hospital. Dr. Hochman suggested the Acculift. “We do it with local anesthesia, so there is no risk associated with general anesthesia,” said Hochman. Four to six small incisions are made in key areas of the face or neck that need tightening and lifting. Then a small laser fiber is inserted through the incisions. “This small laser allows the fat to emulsify and then the skin gets heated and you have an instant lift,” he said. Other than some bruising, Mary says I’m very happy with the results and in this case it was no pain and all gain”.
Often referred to as the “Lunchtime Facelift”, AccuLift offers significant improvement for problem areas, such as sagging cheeks and jowls, and loose skin under the chin. It restores the aging face to a more youthful appearance by removing excess fat deposits that have migrated downward in the face. The results are tighter, more sculpted features usually in 30 minutes or less.
