2 Cents: DTV Transition

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

the switch to digital television is here. channel 2 will complete the transition here in the lowcountry when we turn off our analog signal at 11:30 tonight. in the past year, we’ve done a least a dozen analog shutoff tests so you could see for yourself if you were ready. we’ve also provided a lot of d-t-v information on news 2… including the newscast you just saw… and on our website, counton2.com. there’s a special section right at the top of the home page. we are committed to making sure you get all the answers you need during the digital switch. so here’s what else we’re doing. tonight on news 2 at 11… we will have a phone panel you can call with your questions, as we turn off the analog signal. we’ll stay as late as it takes. you’ll also be able to call us at any time after hours, starting right now and, through the weekend. and we’ll have a member of our engineering staff call you back to personally answer your question. this is a historic moment for broadcast television. and we want **you** to fully share in our excitement. so call us if you need us. i’m rick lipps, and that’s my two cents.
