Washington State fireworks stand heats up over bikini clad employees

For many, bikini-clad women and fireworks stands are sure signs that summer is here.

But some Puyallup, Washington citizens say the two don’t belong together.

They are upset with the owner of the “Nearly Naked Fireworks” stand which employees bikini-clad women to sell fireworks.

Those opposed say the women are not dressed appropriately for families with young children that visit the stand.

Others see nothing wrong with the women’s attire, liking it to the bikini-clad women who work at various shops and stands at the beach.

City officials admit they aren’t wild about having the bikini fireworks stand on the city’s main thoroughfare.

But there aren’t any laws under which the city can regulate the stand or its attention-grabbing sign that includes female silhouettes is provocative poses.

This is a prime example of how ridiculous some people are. I live about 5 minutes from this fireworks stand. Very close to this stand is a city park where you can also find girls in bikinis. What's the big deal? They aren't nude, there's no "hanky panky" happening, they're just selling fireworks. It's less offensive than the morbidly obese people selling fireworks at some of our other local stands... Maybe we should just make all of our women wear burkas like they do in thwe Middle East. Would that make these prudes happy?
