Simpson isolated in jail & focuses on appeal

O.J. Simpson’s lawyer says his client is being isolated from other prisoners for his own safety.
Attorney Yale Galanter tells The Associated Press that Simpson will be living a lonely life. He’s being advised by his lawyers to do no media interviews and will be allowed to see only family members and a few friends placed on a special list at the Las Vegas jail.
The lawyer says the 61-year-old Hall of Fame football star is OK but “disappointed and a bit melancholy.“
But Galanter says Simpson continues to hope for a new trial and a reversal of his conviction for kidnapping and robbery.
Kidnapping is punishable by five years to life in prison. Armed robbery carries a sentence of at least two years behind bars and could bring as much as 30.
Simpson will be held in the Clark County Detention Center until his December 5th sentencing.
