FDA says lump found in Florida couple’s can of Diet Pepsi was a frog

The Food and Drug Administration has determined that the nasty lump a Florida couple found inside a can of Diet Pepsi earlier this summer was either a frog or toad.

Amy Denegri said she and her husband Fred thought it was pieces of a mouse in the soda can when they opened it at their Ormond Beach home in late July.

The FDA was unable to determine when or how the animal entered the package, but said that it was lacking internal organs.

Amy Denegri said that make sense, because the animal was flat “almost like linguine.“

She said she thinks the organs either went down the drain or were swallowed by her husband.

Pepsi said it is “virtually impossible” for a foreign object to enter a can in a production environment.

“In fact, there never has been even a single instance when a claim of this nature has been traced back to a manufacturing issue,“ Pepsi said in a written statement.

Pepsi also said that the FDA has inspected its Orlando facility and found no cause for concern.

The Denegris said they no longer drink Pepsi and are in touch with an attorney.

They said they have not decided whether to file a lawsuit.
