A decade ago, Cape Coral, Florida residents Ron and Deb Gallo called in quits after six years of marriage.
Now, they’re strangely together again.
The sluggish economy put them back under one roof.
Ron and Deb each lost their homes to foreclosure.
Finances got tough and Ron’s income became inconsistent.
So the two decided to become one again and move in together, even though they’re still divorced.
“We’ve just decided to come together and help each other out in these tough times and try to weather the storm,“ said Ron.
“It’s kind of working out nice. So far, so good. He helps me. I help him. We raise our child together,“ added Deb.
They split the rent at their Cape Coral home and share the bills.
After watching President Obama’s address to the nation Tuesday night, they say they are hopeful things turn around, especially the housing market.
