Four decomposing bodies have been found in an abandoned Gary, Indiana funeral home.

Investigators are still working to identify the corpses.

The bodies were discovered after a neighboring church purchased the building with the intent of adding it as an annex.

Church members discovered the bodies during their first inspection of the property.

Investigators believe the bodies may have been left in the building in 2006 when the Indiana State Board of Funeral and Crematory Services revoked the license of the Serenity Gardens Funeral Home.

State and local police are now searching for Darryl Lee Cammack, the funeral home’s previous owner.

Investigators say it could take several days to identify the bodies.
