Tuesday was National Coffee Day, and a Fort Myers, Florida coffeehouse celebrated by brewing the rarest type of coffee in the world.
It’s called Kopi Luwak, better known as “cat-poo coffee.“
It comes from the Indonesian civet, which is an animal that looks like a cat.
The civet eats the “coffee cherry” and then the bean goes through the digestive system and ends up in the animal’s feces.
A worker sifts through the poo and gathers the beans.
Only 500 pounds are made a year, and Bennett’s in Fort Myers is offering the delicacy on Tuesday.
Bennett’s spent $190 for a pound of the coffee berries.
A 12-ounce cup costs $20 dollars.
