A dozen elementary school students have been suspended after something described as “inappropriate” and “sexual” happened on a Connecticut elementary school bus.
It was so bad that 12 Generali Elementary School students will be transferred to other schools after they serve out their suspensions.
Whatever happened involved a fifth grade boy and a young girl on a school bus on the way home on Friday, according to police.
It was “inappropriate behavior of a sexual nature” but there was no sexual contact or assault.
The 11 other children are in trouble for egging the fifth grader on and laughing, cops said.
Waterbury police declined to say more and, in an effort to protect the identity of the young victim, the video shot by a camera mounted at the front of the bus will not be released.
No one has been arrested, but the Department of Children and Families and police are investigating.
The students were all bounced from the school so the victim wouldn’t have to continue encountering her tormentors, school officials said.
School bus officials will review precautionary measures with all bus drivers to help prevent future incidents.
