Rep. Joe Wilson faces reprimand by House Dems Tuesday

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC)

Barring a last-minute apology to Congress, Republican Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina faces what is likely to be a partisan vote scolding him for shouting “You lie!“ at President Barack Obama.

Democratic aides said House leaders were preparing to introduce a resolution of disapproval Tuesday afternoon, with a vote likely later in the day.

Democrats confirmed Monday night that they were moving forward with the rebuke.

Wilson has apologized to the White House for his outburst last week during Obama’s speech to Congress. But Democrats say Wilson also should apologize to Congress for what they call an unprecedented breach of decorum.

Wilson has refused to do so, saying his initial apology was sufficient.

Politicians from both parties are crybabies, to sensitive, suspect and arrogant. It doesn't help we have a Governor who cheats, Vice Gov who can speed and think he is above the law, a congressman who loses his cool and a bunch of other state and local politicians who only care about themselves and not those who they represent. We need to can all polititians and start from scratch. It is all about money now and how the position will lead to financial gain for themselves. It has nothing to do with the people. For all the people out there who truly beleive politicians care about you, take a serious look in the mirror. For every 1 that cares, there are 50 who don't.

I do believe we've made our points clear on both ends. That is what makes this a great country. Amen!

I see your point clearly however when this great country was formed everyone expressed their opinion in the same manner in order to make sure their peers heard and understood him. Nobody when have said anything if he was cheering in agreement with what the president said. The man has apologized for his outburst. Is it a wise use of their time to push this issue further? We have much larger problems that can be focused on. They need to move on and talk about an issue that might actually help the people!!

I fully believe in freedom of speech. But there are rules of conduct among congressmen and senators. Those are to be followed. Heckling the president during his speech is uncalled for. Wilson's place is to voice his opinion loudly on the floor when he's in front of the podium. I don't condemn him for voicing his opinion, but there is a time and place to do so.

Although I may not agree with the outburst, what has happened to freedom of speech. He obviously believes what he said and should be allowed to voice his belief in any forum. Is that not what we are entitled to br freedom of speech?

Being arrogant will get you nowhere very fast.
