Democratic challenger Linda Ketner is winning the race for cash against incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Henry Brown in South Carolina’s heated 1st Congressional District race.

That’s according to the latest financial reports filed with the Federal Election Commission this week.

Through the end of September, Ketner had raised just over $850,000, compared to about $760,000 for Brown. That doesn’t include an additional $700,000 Ketner loaned her own campaign. Brown, seeking a fifth term, has not loaned any money to his campaign.

But the reports also show Brown has more cash on hand for the crucial closing days of the campaign. He had almost $1.2 million compared to about $200,000 for Ketner.
