The South Carolina Highway Patrol released the dash-cam video Thursday of the traffic stop involving the SLED agent driving Governor Mark Sanford.

LCpl. R. S. Salter stopped the car, with Sanford in the backseat, for speeding on Hwy. 385 Tuesday. In the video, Salter asks the agent as he approaches him, “you got a good reason for going 85?“

The agent replies that he is going somewhere with the governor. To which Salter replies, “that is not a good reason for speeding.“

Salter then approaches the back passenger window and the governor can be heard introducing himself.

Salter goes back to his cruiser as the agent pulls away with being issued a citation for speeding.

After reviewing a tape of the stop, Mark Keel, Director of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety issued a statement Wednesday. Keel said, charges will be filed against the SLED agent.

Who frickin cares!! I don't like Sanford in the least, but the witch hunt is getting pretty old. The good ole boys club in SC politics is showing the nation what an inept state we are now.
