Patient ONE Medical Center will be offering free candy X-ray imaging to all trick-or-treaters this Halloween season.  Bags of candy may be brought by the North Charleston location at 7519 Rivers Avenue at Ashley Phosphate Road beginning at 4:00pm Halloween day (Saturday, October 31) through 4:00pm Sunday, November 1.  Patient ONE is open Monday - Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday - Sunday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Dr. Fran Tunney, Medical Director, stated, “An adult should always inspect all candy before allowing a child to eat it.  Our offer to x-ray bags of candy is simply and additional precaution parents should consider.  By using our digital imaging, we can provide an instantaneous view of any potential hazard either mixed in with the candy or actually inserted into a treat.“

“Patient ONE is committed to supporting the health and well-being of all the children in the area.  An X-ray image of a bag of goodies can show a foreign object that may be mixed in with the candy.“, commented CEO, Taylor Lee. “Last year many parents took advantage of this safety check for their children, we look forward to helping out even more cautious trick-or-treaters this year.“

Patient ONE is a modern and convenient medical center.  The state-of-the-art facility features 16 patient exam rooms, digital imaging, in-house lab, and state-of-the-art medical technology- making it the southeast’s largest free-standing Ultra- Care medical center. Patient ONE offers primary care, urgent care, preventative care, and occupational & workers compensation medical services.
