Voter Registration Deadline Looms

You have one more week to make sure you have a say in the country’s next president.  The voter registration deadline is Saturday.

News Two went out with volunteers in downtown Charleston Sunday as they went door-to-door registering voters.

Volunteer Benjamin Flowers says local registration drives have been very successful.

“Everybody is so enthusiastic about registering but they just don’t know how to register so we come out here and we come in the community and do it door to door,” he told News Two.

You may not have somebody knocking on your door to hand you a registration form, but that doesn’t mean you can’t register.

All you need to do is go to your local registration office and fill out a form.  Most will be open through next Saturday.

You can also print out a form online and mail it—but it has to be postmarked by Saturday.  Same rules apply if you need to update your registration information if you’ve moved.
