UPDATE: Snow possible Tuesday, Advisories remain in place

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Berkeley, Dorchester, Orangeburg, and Williamsburg counties.  This advisory also includes inland sections of Colleton county and is in effect for Tuesday.

Areas of light snow will continue mainly near and west of I-95 with a dusting of snow possible in the advised area.  Some higher amounts are possible if heavier bands of snow develop near Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion.

Accumulations should be confined to mostly grassy surfaces and rooftops, but bridges and overpasses may become briefly slick in bursts of heavier snow.

Widely scattered snow showers are expected across the entire area on Tuesday, but the advised area has the greatest chance of seeing light amounts of accumulating snow.
