As of 5:00 PM Wednesday, the center of Tropical Depression Two was located about 710 miles west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands.  The depression is moving to the west at about 14 mph, and this general motion is expected to continue over the next few days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph, 55 km/hr, with higher gusts. Slow strengthening is expected, and the depression could become a tropical storm during the next day or two.

Another tropical disturbance is located near the Cape Verde Islands and some development of this system is possible over the next 24-48 hours.
