Tropical Depression #2 continues to move westward in the Atlantic

Tropical Depression #2 has struggled to strengthen but is still expected to become Tropical Storm Ana over the next day or so.

The depression has winds sustained of 35 mph and is moving west near 12 mph.

The depression will become a tropical storm if winds become sustained at 39 mph or greater.

TD #2 is centered about 535 miles west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands off Africa’s western coast.
