The Arctic attacks later this week
A strong Arctic cold front will charge south through the eastern part of the United States through Thursday with temperatures falling into the teens by Friday morning in many backyards. Wind chills could fall below ten degrees in some spots and the National Weather Service may issue Wind Chill Advisories for parts of the area.
High temperatures will struggle to reach the middle to upper 30s on Friday afternoon despite full sunshine. Friday night will bring us the coldest temperatures we have seen in a long time with many locations dropping into the middle teens away from the beaches. Lower twenties will likely reach the beaches, which rarely happens.
Slightly warmer temperatures are expected on Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 40s, however, these values will be well below seasonal norms.
