BREAKING: School on Lockdown after Armed Robbery
» 2 Comments | Post a Comment

Goose Creek police are searching for two people who they say robbed the Dollar General store on College Park Road Tuesday morning. One had a rifle.

The two were seen running toward Collage Park Estates. College Park Middle school is nearby and officials placed the school on lockdown as a precaution.

Charleston County Sheriffs Department, Berkeley County Sheriffs Department, as well as Goose Creek Police Department are assisting.

Officers say this robbery may be connected to a weekend robbery at the Ocean Island Chinese Restaurant just one store down from the Dollar General. Surveillance video shows a man entering the store Saturday night with a rifle and demand money from the cashier. The restaurant’s owner says he thinks the person who robbed the restaurant over the weekend was the same person who robbed the restaurant last month.

I did see an officer on the side of the road on Crowfield Blvd. Another officer told me that officer was ok.

Are all the officers okay? I heard a Goose Creek officer ran off the side of the road in his/her cruiser.
