SC student arrested for pulling knife on teacher

A South Carolina middle school student has been arrested after lunging at his teacher with a knife.
   
The Post and Courier of Charleston reported Thursday that a Moultrie Middle School student brought his father’s pocket knife to school.
   
A police report says the student wanted to “attack and kill” a classmate who was harassing him, but pulled out the knife when the teacher told him to take a test on the computer.
   
Authorities have not released the name of the student involved in Wednesday’s incident.
   
Calls to the Mount Pleasant Police Department and school district were not immediately returned.
