SC man charged with killing sleeping woman

Authorities say a man wanted in the shooting death of a woman killed as she slept in her apartment has turned himself in.
   
Berkeley County deputies said that 26-year-old Julian Crawford gave himself up Friday night hours after a murder warrant was issued.
   
Crawford is charged with killing 24-year-old Kimberly Jones in her St. Stephen apartment in August.
   
Deputies say Jones was sleeping with her boyfriend and her four children inside the apartment when someone fired on the home from the outside.
   
Investigators would not give a motive for the killing or say if Jones was the intended target or if she knew her killer.
   
Crawford is in jail awaiting a bond hearing. Jail officials did not know if he had an attorney.
