Governor Mark Sanford used ten different pens Friday morning to sign the incentives bill passed by the legislature, that will bring Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner plant to North Charleston.

Two dozen local and legislative leaders stood by the Governor’s side during the signing ceremony near the airport

They declared South Carolina “open for business” after Boeing chose to locate its second Dreamliner plant in North Charleston rather than Everett, Washington.

House Speaker Bobby Harrell put out a call to other businesses looking to move that, “We’re willing to negotiate.“

Sanford said the Boeing move will create two-thousand construction jobs almost immediately and a “considerable” number of spinoff jobs.
