Reward increased for missing couple

The reward for information about a Hilton Head Island couple who have been missing for nearly seven months is up to $65,000.
   
The Island Packet of Hilton Head Island reported that family and friends set up the reward fund, which grew by $17,000 after a fundraising cruise and $25,000 thanks to an anonymous donation by friends and family of John and Elizabeth Calvert.
   
The couple, who also have a home in Atlanta, were last seen March 3.
   
An accountant killed himself after being questioned in their disappearance. Dennis Gerwing’s employer said he embezzled $2.1 million from the couple and seven other companies.
