How well do you know the candidate that you will vote for on election day? News 2 went out today to give voters a Pop Quiz about the candidates and the political process.

Interestingly, more voters knew that Gov. Sarah Palin was from Alaska than they knew presidential candidate John McCain was from Arizona.

Not one person knew that South Carolina has 8 electoral college votes and some did not understand the electoral process at all.

Only one person knew that Joe Biden was a senator from Delaware.

Every voter knew that Lindsey Graham is our US senator, but not one person knew his opponent, Bob Connelly. Also, not one person knew that Jim Demint was our second senator.

When it came to the issues, many were suprised that Biden accepted the Catholic Church’s belief that life begins at conception. Only one person, who happened to be a 12-year-old, knew that Palin said only a small percentage of Islamic believers were exteremists.
