Remount Road exit at I-26 to close for 4 months. Beginning this Friday or Saturday, the I-26 exit ramp at Remount Road will be closing for construction.
Project spokesman Earl Capps tells us the closure is needed to allow workers to complete the ramp overpass. The deadline for the closure is November 14th. After that date, the contractor has to pay a fine of several thousand dollars per day.
