Pet Helpers is looking for information that could lead to the arrest of the person or people who shot a nine month old puppy.

“Weezer” as named by Pet Helpers is little beige Terrier mix who was found shot in the head approximately two weeks ago in Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms.

Weezer suddenly appeared at the garage door of a Pet Helper employee, Wendi Herrera. After giving him food and shelter for the night, he was taken to Pet Helpers. After noticing he had trouble breathing and a wound near his eye, an X-ray was taken.

The X-ray showed gun pellets throughout his head and neck.

Weezer is still loving, sweet and trusting of humans. Pet Helpers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for shooting this little dog.

They have also started the ‘Weezer’ medical fund, to help defer the costs of medical needed to help relieve his breathing issues and hopefully remove some of the pellets still lodged.

Please call Pet Helpers with any information or to help– 843 795 -1110 or Carol Linville 843 588 9295.
