Hanna dumped rain in Georgetown County from 7p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday.  There was little evidence of beach erosion on Pawleys Island.  By Saturday morning, the clouds began to part and many people grabbed buckets to collect shells washed up by the storm.

The Geogretown County Emergency Operations center says officials did close a portion of Highway 17 in the middle of the night due to flooding, but the roads are now back open.

Only two power outages remain to be resolved – one on Waverly Road in Pawleys Island and one on St. Delights Road in Lambertown.  Santee Cooper and Santee Electric Cooperative crews are in the process of restoring power to these two locations.

At this time, the Georgetown County Emergency Operations Center is downgrading to a limited activation and will retain limited staffing with Emergency Management personnel until 12:00 noon.
