The Mount Pleasant Police Department will be overseeing traffic control, direction, parking, and pedestrian flow for the Patriot’s Point 4th of July Blast on Saturday July 4, 2009.

The event will begin at 4:00 PM with fireworks beginning at approximately 10:05 PM.  Handicapped parking will be available. But only a limited numbers of spaces are available. Once parking has reached capacity for the event, Patriots Point Road will be closed at Coleman Blvd. No other vehicle traffic will be allowed onto Patriots Point Road. Police recommend that you arrive early and expect some traffic delays. Pedestrians will not be allowed to view the fireworks display from the pedestrian lane of the Ravenel Bridge.  Access to the pedestrian lane will be restricted starting at 8:30 PM.

Once the event ends, vehicles will be directed to exit Patriot’s Point via Coleman Blvd. or Harry Halman Blvd.

In Addition, The Patriots Point Maritime Museum is asking that you don’t bring pet and no coolers will be allowed.
