North Charleston police raid two homes, seize heroin, cocaine

North Charleston police said Thursday that they raided two homes in the city, seizing more than 207 grams of heroin in one and 72 grams of cocaine in the other.

Both raids happened Wednesday.

Police said they executed a search warrant at 2746 East Surrey Drive and found 207 grams of heroin in 676 individual bags (see slide show).

They arrested Howard Scott of Jersey City, New Jersey and charged him with heroin trafficking.

They arrested a second man in the home, Anthony Brown of North Charleston, and charged him with intent to distribute 5.4 grams of cocaine.

In the other raid, police said they found 72.5 grams of cocaine base in a home at 2765 Houston Street.

They arrested Bernard Weiters and charged him with narcotics trafficking and weapons possession.
