New peanut butter products added to recall list

The Food and Drug Administration has added new peanut and peanut butter items to their recall list.

UPDATE:

Tropical Nut & Fruit of Charlotte, N.C., is recalling select snack products, because they could be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems. No illness has been reported. The snacks were distributed to stores and foodservice outlets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
