Man kills wife during argument

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a Forest Park, Ga., man shot and killed his wife as the couple visited family in Charleston at Christmas.

Police say that 60-year-old Bobby Sloan has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Authorities say Sloan shot his 50-year-old wife, Darlene Sloan, in the head along a Charleston street around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Court documents state that the couple began arguing in the car on the way home from a nightclub in North Charleston.

The report states that the husband exited the car and pulled out a hand gun and shot his wife in the head.

Darlene Sloan’s mother was in the car and witnessed the crime.

Bobby Sloan remains in the Charleston County jail. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.
