Local car dealerships out of business due to downturn in economy

Johnny Dangerfield, the owner of Johnny’s Suzuki of Summerville and Moncks Corner says, he was forced to close the two dealerships because of the economy.  In a statement released to News 2, Dangerfield said fewer customers are buying new vehicles and financing is just not available to potential buyers.

Johnny’s Subaru and Isuzu located on Savannah Highway will remain open along with Johnny’s used car facility, EZ Auto Sales located in Moncks Corner.

Suzuki customers can continue to obtain servicing at Johnny’s Service in Moncks Corner lcoated at 316 Main Street.  Their phone number is 843-719-5100.

Johnny’s has been a popular name in the lowcountry because of the 30 minute infomercials that aired on local tv.  The infomercials featured Johnny Dangerfield and Natalie Philips.  Some folks have said they watched the infomercials because of the on-air chemistry between the two and that it was entertaining.
