Charleston County schools to offer H1N1 vaccines
Published: November 2, 2009
The Charleston County School District said late Monday afternoon that it may make vaccinations available in schools beginning as early as next Friday, November 13th.
CCSD said it’s working in partnership with DHEC.
The order of school vaccination dates will be random.
Schools will send out information packets to parents.
These will include consent forms, letters, specific dates/times, and fact sheets.
On Monday, CCSD called all parents via its automated phone messaging system to inform them of the upcoming vaccine availability.
They are also referring “flu/vaccination specific” questions to the DHEC hotline, 1-800-277-4687.
The district will also keep its H1N1 page updated at http://www.ccsdschools.com to include the vaccination schedules, fact sheets, and letters as they are available.
