A former Charleston County sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced to eight months in federal prison after pleading guilty to kicking a suspect already in handcuffs.
   
Christopher Lanoue was sentenced Friday. He pleaded guilty in April to federal charges of using excessive force in June 2007. He was fired days later.
   
Lanoue also was sentenced to two years of supervised release following his prison term.
