First home in W. Ashley for Habitat for Humanity

Tuesday, the Charleston Habitat for Humanity organization dedicated their first home in West Ashley.

Unita Reed and her family is set to become a part of the West Ashley neighborhood thanks in part to donations and volunteers who built the home. Reed is scheduled to move in before Thanksgiving.

Owners of The Arboretum, which are new luxury condominium’s in the area, donated $45,000 to the project.

Habitat for Humanity helps families in need to build new homes or get needed home repairs.
