Emotions run high at Henry Brown’s town hall meeting

Hundreds turned out at the convention center in North Charleston Thursday night for an emotional town hall meeting on health care held by Republican Congressman Henry Brown.

Members of the crowd, which seemed to be mostly Republican, sparred with Brown and each other.

Before long arguments spread into the rows, then the halls, then the parking lot. If nothing else, it got people talking.

Afterwards Brown would said this was his goal all along.

He told News 2, he wanted people to form strong opinions so they could help shape the future.

"Thousands came out ..." You've got to be kidding. I was there and your ability to count is seriously screwed up. It was a great event, but get real. Thousands? Solidly several hundred, but thousands? No way.
