It was a skunk!

Several emails, and calls are came in to the News 2 Content Center about the activity at the Summerville Oakbrook Post Office.  According to Old Fort Fire Chief David Moore, It turned out to be a skunk being shipped to a taxidermist.

Police, fire, and haz-mat crews surrounded the building around 8:30 this morning after employees complained about getting sick from the smell coming from the box.

The building got the all clear around 9:00 and the post office is back to normal.

Here are a couple of the emails sent to the Content Center:

Countless police officers and the fire department have all entrances blocked - Yellow tape is strung everywhere blocking adjacent businesses - Police cars and officers are everywhere.
This is the 2nd time in the last couple of weeks.

This morning taking my childen to school. They had people out in the parking lot and the police had the parking lot closed off. The fire Dept. was out there and then when I came back by they were putting up yellow tape around the biulding and they had all the people moved even more away from the building. They also had the back of the building closed off. No sign of a fire.
