CSX to repair crossings after battle with N. Charleston mayor

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

CSX will start repairing the railroad crossings next week after North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey took the fight public.

The heated confrontation between Mayor Summey, and a CSX employee made news in late July. Since then, the railroad company failed to show for a hearing about the removal of the signs, which sparked the confrontation.

Those signs, put up by Summey, urged drivers to call CSX if they were unhappy with the recent work done on those crossings.

The repairs are scheduled to begin next week on East Montague, near Spruill Avenue.
