Two health care meetings scheduled at the same time as the University of South Carolina’s first televised football game of the season could make a tough choice on those Congressman Henry Brown was hoping to reach.

Brown’s meeting starts at 7pm in the Charleston Area Convention Center in Exhibit Hall A. Another health care meeting also starts at 7pm at the downtown Holiday Inn by the Charleston County Democratic Women.

Chris Wilkerson from the CCDW says the group will hold a discussion panel with health care professionals after a $20 per plate dinner. She says the group was not trying to compete with Brown’s meeting it was just coincidence. The women meet on the first Thursday of each month.

As for the USC game, it will kick off the college football season at 7pm against the Wolfpack of N.C. State. ESPN’s coverage of Thursday night football has become their highest rated college game on average.
