College of Charleston security officer killed in car accident

A 22-year-old College of Charleston security officer died Tuesday in a crash on US 17 in Colleton County.
Authorities tell News 2 that Robert Barnett of North Charleston was headed south on 17, a half mile from the SC 303 interchange, when he crossed over the center divide and hit a tractor trailer head-on.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
