Cold weather invades Lowcountry…again

From snow to ice to a lot of cold weather, the Lowcountry deals with the latest blast of cold weather. It was a day of bundling up and moving quickly as cold weather struck the Lowcountry once again.
“We’re from Rhode Island and we are on our way to Florida to get away from the cold,” said Biff Miller, who bundled up for an afternoon carriage ride along the Battery. Miller said that it was the same temperature here in Charleston as it was when he left Rhode Island.
Dustin Morrow and his wife moved to North Charleston only two days ago and expected much warmer weather. “We moved from Akron, Ohio and coming down here we expected it to be a little warmer than what it is,” explained Morrow.
Most folks, like Morrow, are becoming anxious for springtime. “We’ve heard it gets pretty hot down here but we definitely like the hot over the cold and we’re getting tired of it,” said Morrow.
Just think…only 44 more days ‘til spring.
