Charleston Fire Department names Deputy Chief

Charleston Fire Chief Tom Carr announced Monday the promotion of Franklin Finley to Deputy Chief of Administration.

Finley joined the Charleston Fire Department in 1980 after serving in the Navy and graduating from the College of Charleston.

In June of 2008 he was appointed Acting Deputy Chief.

“Deputy Chief Finley is an important member of the senior management team,“ said Carr in a statement.  “He is responsible to share my vision of organizational direction.  I am confident he will do this well as he has done to date.”
