Charleston County deputies are investigating a possible homicide after finding the body of a partially-clothed woman in the bushes on the side of Bulow Landing Road.

The Coroner’s office identified the woman as 40-year-old Helen Hancock of Hanahan.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is treating this as a homicide. Bulow Landing Road is located off Davidson Road. Police received a call reporting Hancock’s remains around 9:00 this morning.

The coroner is not releasing the cause or manner of Hancock’s death.
