Carnes Crossroads in Berkeley county, more than 1500 votes so far
At Carnes Crossroads II, the voting in the fire department has been taking place all day. The turnout there also much, much higher than usual.
Poll manager Susie tells me that 810 votes out of about 1700 registered voters have been cast. She said “this is crazy” when I asked her how the day has been going.
One common thread between all of the voting I’ve been observing today has been an enormous operation that none of these sites are used to.
I’m off to the Devon Forest precincts in Goose Creek next.
